"travizel"
Students choose a planet to research using Worldbookonline.com, starchild.gsfc.nasa.gov, enchantedlearning.com, and kidsastronomy.com. Students used facts from their research to collaboratively develop a script encouraging people to visit their planet. Students acted out their scripts while it was video taped using a green screen. Students were then given step by step instructions explaining how to use iMovie’s green screen effect to add pictures into the background of their recorded advertisements. Students then added title pages, sound, credit pages, and then compressed their movie so it could be shared on the webpage.

Virtual Vacations
Students researched a country of their choice using Culturegrams.com. The students then wrote a postcard to someone telling them about their vacation using facts they learned about the country. The postcard was made using powerpoint, where they typed the text and imported a picture that represents their vacation. Students then narrated their postcard and converted their narrated postcard into a quicktime movie. These individual quicktime movie files were then combined into an iMovie class project.
