MY MEMOIRS PAST AND FUTURE
Students will use the tools in Pixie to take a picture of their head and shoulders. They will use the drawling tools to draw the rest of their body. Students will turn the image of themselves into a sticker. The self-portrait sticker will be put into a background that helps to illustrate a memory from the past or from the future. The student then writes a detailed memoir about their experience. Students will turn the illustration into a narrated movie.

"declaring independence or not?"
This project integrates the social studies curriculum with online research, Google Drive, Comic Life, and iMovie. Students worked in pairs. One student researched a patriot and the partner researched a loyalist. The pair communicated with each other using Google Drive to create a six line debate where each historical figure is making statements similar to what they would have said over 240 years ago. The debate was displayed using Comic Life where pictures of the historical figures had a six-framed debate, three frames from each person. Students then took screen shots of the six frames. These six frames were used in iMovie. Students then narrated their six-framed debate. Students also create a title frame and musical introduction. Students then compressed their iMovie into an mp4 movie file.

Diamante
Students created a diamante with the help of the “readwritethink” website. Students then used a digital camera to take pictures of a nature scene reflected in their poem. Students used Word to edit and type out the diamante. Students used Comic Life to display their diamante and the pictures they took. Students were given additional pictures that they could use. This Comic Life Diamante project was converted into a jpeg that was inserted into a Powerpoint slide. Students then narrated and turned their powerpoint slide into a Quicktime movie.
