why i like the fall
Students used a program call Pixie to create an illustration that represented special topics about the season of fall. Using Pixie, students were then recorded saying something that made “fall” special to them. The individual recorded Pixie illustrations were combined to make a class iMovie about why they liked fall.

SILLY ABC SENTENCES
STUDENTS LISTEN TO THE DR. SEUSS’S ABC-AN AMAZING ALPHABET BOOK! STUDENTS DISCUSS THE ALLITERATION FOUND IN THE STORY. STUDENTS COME UP WITH WORDS THAT START WITH AN ASSIGNED LETTER AND PUT THEM TOGETHER TO MAKE A SILLY SENTENCE. STUDENTS THEN ILLUSTRATE THEIR SENTENCE AND TYPE OUT THE SILLY SENTENCE THEY CREATE. THE SILLY IMAGE AND SENTENCE ARE THEN SCANNED AND CONVERTED INTO A JPEG IMAGE. THIS IMAGE IS EXPORTED TO AN IMOVIE PROJECT WHERE THE STUDENTS RECORD THEIR VOICE TO NARRATE THEIR SENTENCE AND ILLUSTRATION.
